1 Pkg. Jimmy Dean Sausage Patties
Reserve 1-2 T grease (add butter if necessary)
1-2 T Flour
2 c. Milk (or 1 c. Milk, 1 c. Cream)
Salt & Pepper to taste.

yo- biscuits n gravy is so simple n so good –get some jimmy dean sausage–i like the hot stuff–cookit up– don’t dump out the grease–you need a tablespoon or 2 — if there isn’t enough grease – add a little butter and let the butter start to brown.

The key, I think is all in the beginning– with letting the butter start to brown as you add a little flour = flavor.

Using a fork sprinkle in a bit of flour a little at a time–till you have put in a tablespoon or 2. you are going to add a couple cups of milk so if you need to use a little to work in the gravy, do it.

Leave the meat in the pan while you do this. Add 2 c. milk–or better yet use 1/2 milk and 1/2 cream—whatever u want. I think it is officially 2c. milk to every Tbs. flour– but I’m not sure. I just add however much milk to make however much gravy I want and if it looks too thin, I add a little flour. It will seriously thicken up tho as it cooks down so beware..So let the mix boil down–but not too far cuz as it cools it gets a lot thicker.. add s&p. Pour over biscuits.

Can use hungry jack biscuits or whatever– but here is my foolproof biscuit recipe: Shelly’s Mile High Biscuits
